"Robots industriels fabriqués en France"
French manufacturer of AMRs for intralogistics - SHERPA-B, -P, -D and -F lines from 200 kg bins to 1,200 kg pallets
Sherpa Mobile Robotics (SMR) is a French manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots for industrial intralogistics, based at 11 rue Ampère in Haguenau, Alsace. The SHERPA concept began in 2015-2016 inside Norcan, which supplied order-picking carts to e-commerce operators and wanted to reduce operator workload; the first prototype was a collaborative follow-me robot. Field trials and proofs of concept ran through 2017-2018, first sales came in 2019 with a dedicated building, and in 2020 SHERPA MOBILE ROBOTICS was constituted as an independent company with R&D, production, after-sales service and training brought in-house. Between 2021 and 2024 the company raised EUR 12 million and expanded the range.
The legal entity carries SIREN 853 956 324 and share capital of EUR 1,796,000, with Stéphane Fauth as president. The team works from a 1,200 m2 facility and the robots are built in France.
The product range covers four lines. SHERPA-B is a conveyor-top AMR for bins and cartons up to 200 kg (B 100 and B 200 variants, 950x600x650 mm, 1.9 m/s). SHERPA-P carries pallets and pallet-sized containers with a built-in lifting module, in P 500 and P 1000 variants (500 kg and 1,000 kg, 1350x950x350 mm, 1.9 m/s). SHERPA-D handles dollies and rolling platforms up to 250 kg, and SHERPA-F, launched in 2023, handles floor pallets up to 1,200 kg. Custom configurations are also offered, together with a software suite, training, warranty and financing. The company reports more than 100 mobile robot installations.
