Robotics Place is the Occitanie robotics cluster founded in 2012 by regional robotics firms, also running the MED Robotics Place medical robotics network.
Robotics Place is the robotics cluster of the Occitanie region in France. It was created in 2012 on the initiative of regional robotics companies to pool resources and expertise, and brings together companies, research laboratories and schools working in robotics and related technologies. The cluster promotes a co-opetition approach in which member companies, including potential competitors, collaborate on large or innovation projects and coordinated responses to calls for tender. Its focus areas are industry of the future, logistics, training, health, ethics, artificial intelligence and construction.
Services include collaborative R&D projects, a member directory, training courses, job listings and events, along with programmes branded Rob'Angels and Rob'Team. It also runs MED Robotics Place, a national medical robotics network. Partners and sponsors listed by the cluster include Region Occitanie, CCI Toulouse and Toulouse Metropole. The cluster is led by co-presidents Patrick Dehlinger (Rob'Occ) and Sebastien Bach (Novalynx), with Philippe Roussel as general delegate.
