Company Overview

Roboteam is an Israeli developer and manufacturer of tactical unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for military, police and homeland-security users. According to a 2015 Globes report, the company was founded in December 2009 by Yosi Wolf and Elad Levy, who served as co-CEOs. Its headquarters is at Aharon Bart 22, Petah Tikva, Israel, and its website lists a US office at 5237 River Road, Bethesda, Maryland. Roboteam states that it has held ISO 9001 certification since 2009.

The robot line is organised by weight class. The RT-2 IRIS is a throwable reconnaissance robot weighing 1.65 kg with a 1 kg payload and 360-degree video. The RT-20 MTGR is a man-portable unit of 7.3 kg (8.6 kg with all-terrain wheels), rated IP65, with an optional 4-degree-of-freedom manipulator. The RT-200 TIGR weighs 84 kg including six batteries, is rated IP67, climbs 45-degree stairs, and accepts an optional 6-DOF manipulator that can handle up to 20 kg. The larger RT-1000 PROBOT (435 kg, 750 kg maximum payload, 12 km/h) and RT-2000 ROOK (1,200 kg, 1,200 kg payload, 30 km/h) are carriers intended for logistics, intelligence gathering and casualty evacuation. Operators control the vehicles with the RT-7 ROCU, a 7-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen controller built around an Intel Atom E3845 processor, rated IP65.

On the software side, Roboteam HUB is a command-and-control platform for managing ground, aerial and sensor systems from a single interface, and IRONWAVE packages UGVs, ISR drones, communications and the HUB software inside a 20-foot ISO container used as a mobile mission hub. On 17 December 2025, Ondas (NASDAQ: ONDS) announced that it had completed its acquisition of Roboteam. The company now operates within Ondas Autonomous Systems, and the announcement said its leadership and engineering organisation would remain in place. The purchase price was not disclosed. The Ondas announcement names the US Marine Corps and the Israeli Ministry of Defense as customers and says Roboteam systems are used by military and security forces in more than 30 countries.
