Roboteam
Roboteam, Groupe Sigma's robotics unit in Brillon, integrates ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa and Staubli robots for palletizing, welding and food-industry handling.
Roboteam is the industrial robot integration subsidiary of Groupe Sigma, a Hauts-de-France automation, industrial IT and electrical contracting group founded in 1998 with about 120 employees across Sigma, Techtra and Roboteam. Roboteam is based in the Brillon business park near Valenciennes and serves industrial sites across the region, including Dunkirk, Arras, Lille, Calais and Cambrai. It has worked mainly with the food industry since 2003.
Its services cover the design, assembly, programming and commissioning of robotic cells, on-site installation, trajectory creation and cycle-time optimization, operator training, and maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial robots, backed by a hotline six days a week. Engineering work includes offline programming and 3D process simulation (Process Simulation) and factory and line simulation (Plant Simulation), custom robot programming standards, application software and operator HMIs on robot pendants. The company also designs and manufactures grippers, conveyors, special machines, tooling and machine guarding, and carries out retrofits and machine compliance work.
Applications include handling, assembly, palletizing and depalletizing, welding, gluing and vision. Technicians are trained on ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, Staubli and Comau robots; Roboteam supplies new Yaskawa, ABB, Fanuc and KUKA robots, refurbished KUKA robots, and spare parts for KUKA KRC1 and ABB 6400 controllers. Food-industry references include poultry farms, egg packing centers, hatcheries, chocolate makers and biscuit makers; industrial references include Vallourec, Tata Steel, Interfit and Renault Maubeuge. Example projects are a palletizer handling 14 carton types, an egg palletizer and an ABB welding cell installed in Korea for the automotive sector.
