Company Overview

Rheinmetall AG is a German defense and technology group founded in 1889 and headquartered in Dusseldorf. The company designs and manufactures armored vehicles, ammunition, weapon systems, and military electronics, organized into land, air, naval, digitalization, mobility, industry, and training-and-service business areas, and supplies NATO members and allied armed forces.

Among its unmanned and autonomous platforms, the Mission Master is an 8x8 unmanned ground vehicle that can be configured without a crew on board for logistics resupply, reconnaissance, force protection, casualty evacuation, or communications relay. The LUNA NG is a fixed-wing unmanned aerial reconnaissance system built for low acoustic, thermal, and radar signatures, capable of pre-programmed autonomous flight or remote operation through a relay aircraft. The Lynx KF41 is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle with a modular hull that accepts different turret and weapon configurations, including anti-tank missiles and short-range air-defense systems, and Rheinmetall offers it to export customers alongside its Puma and Boxer vehicle programs.

Rheinmetall reported roughly 9.5 billion euros in sales for fiscal 2024, with defense activities accounting for most of that total and a multi-year order backlog concentrated in armored-vehicle and ammunition programs.
