Founded in 1985, the company has over 40 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and maintaining highly automated atmospheric handling systems for semiconductor fabrication environments.
RECIF's core product lines include Equipment Front End Modules (EFEMs), wafer sorters, and batch transfer systems that handle silicon wafers from 150mm through 450mm in diameter, including advanced substrates such as 380mm wafers on frames. The COMPACT sorter — optimized for 300mm silicon wafers — is available in 2-load-port and 4-load-port configurations and delivers up to 40% reduction in cleanroom floor space requirements compared to competing designs. The SMART product is a combined 300mm wafer sorter and EFEM in a single system. The BPP (Batch Pick and Place) handles 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm wafers in batch mode for legacy and advanced node fabs.
RECIF Technologies was a pioneering participant in the 450mm wafer initiative, installing the first 450mm EFEM at imec (Belgium). The company also maintains offices and service presence in the USA and Taiwan, supporting global semiconductor manufacturing customers.
In January 2024, Accuron Technologies — a Singapore-based industrial technology group backed by Temasek Holdings — completed the acquisition of RECIF Technologies. The acquisition expanded Accuron's semiconductor equipment portfolio alongside esmo AG, mechatronic systemtechnik, and NexGen Wafer Systems. RECIF continues to operate under its own brand and from its Blagnac headquarters post-acquisition.
