Exosafe is a French maker of passive occupational exoskeletons, registered as a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) on 25 March 2026 at 6 Rue Emile Tissier in Gy-l'Eveque, near Auxerre in Burgundy, under SIREN 102 998 093. It is the successor to RB3D Robotiques 3 Dimensions, the Auxerre-area exoskeleton and cobot maker founded in 2001, which entered safeguard proceedings in September 2021, receivership on 8 September 2025 and judicial liquidation on 8 October 2025. The rb3d.com domain now redirects to exosafe.net. The company's claims of four years of development per model and fifteen years of work with the French occupational-safety institute INRS come from that RB3D lineage rather than from the six-month-old legal entity.
The devices are passive: springs and mechanical linkages, with no motors, batteries, sensors or control system. This is a narrowing from RB3D, whose range included powered exoskeletons and cobot manipulators. Three models are sold, all CE marked with a two-year warranty. THE SYMBO supports the back and hips, weighs 750 grams and is stated to cut lower-back load by up to 15 per cent, at EUR 750 excluding tax. THE EXO UP supports the shoulders and lower back with up to 5 kilograms of assistance per arm, at EUR 1,400. THE EXOVITI is the strongest back model, at 2.2 kilograms and a stated 40 per cent reduction in lower-back load, for EUR 1,500. All can be rented instead of bought, at EUR 1 to EUR 2 per day.
The commercial model pairs hardware with services: a seven-day trial, team training, and diagnostics with independent ergonomists and posturologists. French distribution runs through COMPAS in Champagne and ALABEURTHE in Burgundy and Centre-Loire. INRS and the construction group Colas are named in connection with long-running collaboration and studies. Target sectors are construction, viticulture, logistics, manufacturing, food, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, energy, healthcare and environmental services.
For a directory user these are unpowered wearables sold as protective equipment at tool prices, with a rental option, rather than robots.
