The company subsequently raised an $18 million Series A round led by Notion Capital, with investors including Ryan Petersen of Flexport. In February 2025, Protex AI raised a $36 million Series B round with Hedosophia as a lead investor, bringing total disclosed funding to over $54 million.
The founders met as teenagers at the BT Young Scientist competition in Ireland. Hobbs graduated with a Business, Economics and Social Studies degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2017. The company has offices in Dublin, London, and Boston, serving customers across Europe and North America.
