World's first mass producer of solid-state lithium-ceramic batteries for EVs, electronics, and industrial use.
ProLogium Technology Co., Ltd. is a Taiwanese battery developer and manufacturer, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Taoyuan, Taiwan, recognized as the world's first company to develop, mass produce, and commercialize solid-state lithium-ceramic batteries (LCB). After shipping its first lithium-ceramic battery in 2014, ProLogium has supplied more than 800,000 cells and operates the first GWh-class solid-state lithium-ceramic battery gigafactory, inaugurated in Taoyuan in January 2024 with a planned capacity of up to 2 GWh. ProLogium's LCB technology uses a film-free ceramic separator, silicon-composite anodes, and ultra-thin lithium-metal electrodes to improve safety, energy density, and fast charging. Its fourth-generation LCB reaches up to 380 Wh/kg and 860-900 Wh/L, supports 5%-80% charging in eight minutes, and includes the fully inorganic electrolyte battery unveiled at CES 2025.
The company serves electric-vehicle, consumer-electronics, and industrial applications. ProLogium has expanded internationally with a gigawatt-hour demonstration line in Taoyuan, an R&D center at Paris-Saclay in France, and a planned gigafactory in Dunkirk, France, targeted for mass production by 2027. The company maintains subsidiaries in Singapore and Shanghai and partners with automotive and engineering firms including FEV Group on solid-state battery modules.
