ParkPlus (Park Plus, Inc.) is a US manufacturer and installer of automated and mechanical parking systems, founded in 1969 in Queens, New York, and now headquartered at 160 E Union Ave, East Rutherford, New Jersey, with additional offices in Hialeah, Florida and Burbank, California. The company remains family-led, with Ron Astrup as chief executive and Paul Bates as group president.
Its automated product is the AGV Automated Robotic Parking System, which uses battery-powered, omni-directional robotic vehicles guided by vision systems and laser sensors to store and retrieve vehicles inside enclosed parking vaults without a driver or attendant present; entry and retrieval are handled through a touchscreen kiosk, mobile app, key fob or remote control. ParkPlus also builds Rack and Rail fixed-rail robotic shuttle systems, PLC-controlled Lift-Slide puzzle parking, and mechanical stackers such as the DP003 double, TP500 triple and QP1000 quad stacker, each rated for 6,000 lb per platform.
ParkPlus has completed more than 1,500 parking projects since its founding, built more than 30 fully automated robotic parking systems, and reports an installed base that collectively parks more than 300,000 vehicles daily. The company employs between 51 and 200 people and acts as both manufacturer and installer on each project.
