Optronis develops, manufactures, and distributes two primary product categories: streak cameras for capturing time-resolved optical phenomena, and high-speed video cameras for machine vision and slow-motion industrial analysis. Their machine vision high-speed cameras are organized into three main series: the Cyclone and CyclonePlus series, which use CoaXPress (CXP) interfaces compliant with the GenICam standard, and the CycloneFiber series, which use CoaXPress-over-Fiber for extended cable-length applications. In 2011, Optronis established an industry milestone by introducing the first 4-megapixel CoaXPress high-speed camera for industrial image processing. Current camera models cover resolutions up to 25 megapixels and frame rates of up to 3,500 fps at 1 MP resolution and up to 72 fps at 25 MP.
Optronis cameras are used in quality control, crash testing, materials research, combustion analysis, plasma physics, and other high-speed inspection and measurement applications in both research institutions and industrial facilities.
