Noonee AG is a Swiss company founded in 2014 as a spin-off of ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), headquartered in Rüti, Zurich Oberland, Switzerland. The flagship product, the Chairless Chair 2.0, is a purely mechanical, passive device — containing no batteries, motors, or electronics — that attaches to the legs and waist of the wearer, transferring body weight from the leg muscles and joints into a supportive, ergonomic sitting or squatting position when the user bends their knees to a chosen angle. The device then locks in place, enabling the worker to maintain that position without muscular effort. Walking and standing are unimpeded; switching between modes takes seconds without leaving the workstation. The Chairless Chair 2.0 weighs 3.0 kg (approximately 25% lighter than the first generation), fits users 150–200 cm tall, and supports a maximum user weight of 120 kg. It carries a CE Declaration of Conformity and supports compliance with DIN EN ISO 9241 ergonomic standards.

Clinical and industrial testing, including pilots at BMW and Audi assembly lines, demonstrated that the Chairless Chair reduces load on the knees and feet by approximately 65%, lowering risks of musculoskeletal disorders, reducing absenteeism, and improving worker productivity. The device is particularly suited to automotive assembly, aircraft manufacturing, and other tasks requiring sustained low-posture or stationary standing work.
