Company Overview

Ninebot Inc. is the Beijing-based operating arm of Ninebot Limited, founded in 2012 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market on 29 October 2020 under code 689009 - the first Chinese listing to combine a VIE structure with Chinese Depositary Receipts. In April 2015, backed by Xiaomi and Sequoia Capital, it acquired Segway, the American personal-transporter pioneer, and the group now sells worldwide under the Segway-Ninebot brand across three business regions: Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas. It employs roughly 7,900 people, about 2,650 of them in research and development, and took 37.26 percent of 2025 revenue from outside mainland China. For the first half of 2026 it reported revenue of RMB 14.36 billion, up 22.3 percent year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 1.01 billion, down 18.8 percent after a RMB 371 million foreign-exchange loss.

Robotics is a reported business line rather than a side project. Robots and accessories brought in RMB 2.08 billion in the first half of 2026, and the millionth robotic lawn mower left the production line in April 2026. The mowers are sold under the Segway Navimow brand and split into distinct navigation families: the vision-guided i1 series (i105 and i110, up to 0.25 acre) using the EFLS 2.0 fusion locating system with VisionFence obstacle avoidance; the i2 AWD series (i206 AWD, i210 AWD) aimed at smaller but steeper lawns; the i215 LiDAR, which uses solid-state LiDAR to work around more than 200 obstacle types including moving animals; the H2 series (H210, H220) launched at CES 2026 with a triple fusion positioning system intended for tree shade and night mowing; and the X3 series (X315, X330, X350, X390) built on EFLS 3.0 for lawns from 0.5 to 2.5 acres, joined at CES 2026 by an X4 series with a proprietary Xero-turn all-wheel-drive system for turf-safe manoeuvring.

The second robotics strand is commercial service robots, developed under the Segway Robotics and Ninebot Robotics banners for hotel, restaurant and building delivery. The line grew out of two earlier platforms: Loomo, a self-balancing personal robot co-developed with Intel, and RMP, a robotics mobility platform sold as a research and integration chassis. Ninebot subsequently released paired indoor and outdoor last-metre delivery robots and hotel-service units, and has supplied hotel delivery deployments in China since 2021.

The larger revenue base remains short-distance mobility. In the first half of 2026 the company shipped 1.62 million electric two-wheelers for RMB 4.11 billion, 527,000 electric kick-scooters for RMB 1.18 billion, and 10,300 all-terrain vehicles for RMB 424 million, alongside self-balancing vehicles and electric go-karts. Shared micromobility fleet operators are a significant channel for the scooter line.
