Company Overview

Modular Mining Systems, founded in 1979 in Tucson, Arizona, is a wholly owned Komatsu subsidiary and global leader in mining fleet management software. The company's flagship DISPATCH Fleet Management System optimises haul truck assignments, loading, and dumping in open-pit mines, and has become an industry standard worldwide. Modular Mining co-developed Komatsu's autonomous haulage technology, which saw its first large-scale commercial deployment with Rio Tinto's Pilbara operations in 2011.

The company's software integrates real-time machine data, GPS positioning, and dispatch algorithms to maximise productivity and safety in surface and underground mining operations.
