The US subsidiary operates from 4 North Street in Waldwick, New Jersey, providing sales, application engineering and support for the group's products across North America.
mayr power transmission manufactures safety brakes, safety clutches (torque limiters) and backlash-free shaft couplings used to stop, hold and protect drivetrains, including ROBA-stop electromagnetic and spring-applied brakes, EAS torque limiters and overload clutches, ROBA-DS and other servo couplings, plus magnetic couplings, magnetic brakes and DC drives. These components are specified in machine tools, packaging and printing machinery, filling equipment, elevators, stage technology, wind turbines, and robotics and automation applications that require fail-safe motion control and precise shaft alignment.
The group employs about 750 people at its Mauerstetten headquarters and roughly 1,350 worldwide, with manufacturing sites in Poland and China, a facility planned in India, and sales offices in the United States, France, Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, India and Spain, plus about 40 additional country representatives.
