In 2022 the company demonstrated the ability to produce titanium alloy parts for aerospace applications including aircraft, rockets, and satellites. The RoboCraftsman platform also includes scanning, trimming, and drilling functions.
In 2023, Machina Labs raised $32 million in Series B funding (bringing total funding to approximately $45 million), with investors including Lockheed Martin Ventures and Woven Capital. The company serves defense, aerospace, automotive, electronics, and heavy machinery sectors. A pilot program with Toyota Motor North America targets customized automotive body panels at mass-production cost levels. Machina Labs has approximately 96 employees and maintains partnerships with the U.S. Department of Defense to advance aircraft sustainment.
