German world market leader in foundry core-making technology; offers core shooters, sand mixers, 3D sand printers, and turnkey core-shop automation.
Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH is the world market leader in core-making technologies for the foundry industry, headquartered in Barleben/Meitzendorf, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, with an additional facility in Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg. The company was founded in 1980 by Dipl.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Laempe and employs approximately 300 to 350 professionals across marketing, sales, R&D, design and construction, production, and service functions.
Laempe's core product portfolio includes automatic core shooters across multiple series — the LHL-series (large horizontal), LFB-series, L-series, and LL-series — as well as sand mixers (vertical LVM and LVMD models), gassing units (LGi and LG series), and automated visual inspection systems (CORE-VISION® and DISC-INSPECTOR®). Since expanding into additive manufacturing, the company now also produces the L3D-100 and L3D-200 3D sand printers, with the L3D-200 debuting at Laempe Open Week in June 2026 as a next-generation innovation in binder-jet sand printing for foundry cores.
Beyond individual machines, Laempe designs and realizes complete turnkey core shops, integrating sand preparation, core shooting, robotic core transport, core finishing, and in-molding plant automation into unified systems. Customers benefit from solutions for the networking and intelligent control of all core-shop areas, aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
The company acquired foundry automation specialists Hottinger and Röperwerk in 2009, adding expertise in sand preparation and core handling. Since 2015, Laempe has maintained a strategic partnership with Sinto, the world's largest foundry machinery manufacturer, headquartered in Japan, which strengthens its global sales reach. A network of approximately 25 sales partners and representatives supports customers worldwide. Subsidiaries are located in Pune, India and Beijing, China.
Laempe holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, both awarded by TÜV Süd Management GmbH. It is also certified for structural steel welding per EN 1090-2 and carries the BAT (Best Available Techniques) designation from the European Commission for the smitheries and foundries industry.
Primary customer sectors include the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, carriage construction, machine construction and plant engineering, marine engine production, and manufacturers of electric motors, pumps, and fittings. Effective July 1, 2026, Laempe will acquire the core-shooting machine business of Lüber GmbH as part of a strategic alliance to further expand its market position.
