The Kodiak Driver integrates LiDAR, radar, and cameras providing 360-degree coverage via field-swappable SensorPods designed for rapid maintenance. In 2025, Kodiak introduced its sixth-generation truck, described as the first driverless-ready semi-truck designed for scaled deployment. Roush Industries handles upfitter installation of Kodiak Driver hardware into production trucks. Kodiak and Bosch entered a partnership to co-develop and scale production-grade autonomous truck hardware, with Bosch supplying sensors and vehicle actuation components including steering technologies. NVIDIA provides AI compute assistance.
Beyond commercial trucking, Kodiak has expanded into defense autonomy. Kodiak, General Dynamics Land Systems, and Epirus jointly introduced an autonomous counter-UAS platform powered by the Kodiak Driver on a commercially available ground vehicle.
Kodiak completed a SPAC merger with Ares Acquisition Corporation II in 2025, valuing the company at approximately $2.5 billion and providing over $275 million in transaction proceeds. Prior to going public, Kodiak had raised $195 million in private funding. The company also operates a Texas logistics hub alongside its California headquarters.
