Company Overview

Kilter AS is a Norwegian ag-tech company founded on 2 February 2021, headquartered in Langhus, Viken. Growing from a 2007 joint research initiative between NIBIO and Adigo AS, Kilter developed its flagship AX-1 autonomous weeding robot, which uses deep learning neural networks and patented Single Drop Technology to identify and treat weeds with 6×6mm accuracy. The system reduces herbicide use by up to 95% and has achieved DRT99 spray drift reduction classification, the highest rating in the Dutch spraying technology certification system.

AX-1 operates autonomously across vegetable crops including carrots, onions, salad, and beets. Commercial operations launched in 2021, with customers in Norway, Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 2026, Kubota Corporation made a strategic investment in Kilter as part of a €6.5 million funding round.
