JAS Robotics Inc. is a KOSDAQ-listed (090470) South Korean builder of automated production equipment and factory logistics robots, headquartered in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. It was established in March 1995 and traded as Jastech (제이스텍) until March 2026, when shareholders approved the renaming to JAS Robotics to mark a shift toward robot-based smart-factory solutions.
The company engineers turnkey automation lines rather than catalogue machines. Its declared business fields are secondary-battery cells, display, semiconductor, bio and autonomous mobile robots (AMR). Historic product families include display module automation and waterjet cleaning/plating equipment, semiconductor back-end automation, and PCR diagnostic-kit assembly machines. Secondary-battery work is now reported at roughly 90% of activity, centred on prismatic cells, and spans cell development, pilot-line construction, equipment design and build, intralogistics automation and manufacturing execution systems (MES). In-house R&D is organised around control systems, inspection systems, process development, cell development and system integration.
Its robotics content is AGV/AMR intralogistics for battery and electronics plants, supplied as part of those lines rather than as a standalone robot catalogue; no public model designations were found. Operating sites are the Asan plant, the Cheonan Innovation Center, the Seonghwan plant and the Magok R&D Center in Seoul.
Revenue was about KRW 72.1 billion in 2023 and about KRW 63.6 billion in 2024 (KRW 29.7 billion secondary battery, KRW 33.9 billion equipment; KRW 36.6 billion domestic, KRW 27.1 billion overseas). Reported order backlog was KRW 174.1 billion in March 2026, including a KRW 97.9 billion contract. It supplies overseas plants of major Korean battery makers and is working with US-based IBC on turnkey equipment for an Indian gigafactory. CEO is Jung Jae-song.
