Founded in 2014, JAKA develops and manufactures collaborative robots (cobots) and intelligent production lines for a range of industrial and commercial applications. The company's flagship JAKA Zu series covers payloads from 3 kg to 30 kg: Zu 3, Zu 5, Zu 7, Zu 12, Zu 18, and Zu 20/Zu 30 variants, all designed as general-purpose tabletop cobots for machine tending, assembly, pick-and-place, palletizing, and welding.
The JAKA Pro series (Pro 5, Pro 12, Pro 16) offers IP68-rated sealing for harsh environments including dust, moisture, and wash-down conditions. The JAKA S series adds integrated force-torque sensing for compliant, flexible assembly tasks. Additional product lines include JAKA AL (with integrated 2D vision), JAKA Mini (lightweight compact models), and JAKA A series (higher-speed industrial-grade cobots).
Software products include JAKA Studio Pro programming environment and JAKA OTA for fleet management via the cloud. JAKA also produces the JAKA Kargo autonomous mobile robot for material transport and the JAKA K1 embodied intelligence training system. The company raised approximately $150 million in a Series D round in 2022, co-led by Temasek, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, TrueLight Capital, and Prosperity7 Ventures.
In 2023, JAKA filed for an IPO on China's STAR Market targeting approximately $108 million. JAKA has offices in Germany, the US (New York), Japan, Malaysia, and China (Changzhou, Shenzhen). Core certifications include CE marking for the European market.
