ORCA motors are inherently force controlled, allowing them to sense imparted force for safe human-interactive applications, and support integrated kinematic control with up to 32 motion profiles saved on board, triggerable by software or hardware signals. The actuators operate on low-voltage DC, are rated IP68 for fully submerged operation, are encapsulated in epoxy for rugged reliability, and operate as quietly as 20 dB. The portfolio ranges from the ORCA-3-12V (182 N peak force, 8.1 m/s) to the ORCA-15-48V (1061 N peak force), with customizable shaft lengths and stroke options.
Iris Dynamics also offers the IO SmartHub signal interface and the Raven 6-DoF kit. Customization is supported via MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Modbus RTU through the IrisSDK.
