"The future of warehouse productivity"
Thousand Oaks, California AMR maker founded 2015; leases inVia Picker robots and Logic software as Robotics-as-a-Service for e-commerce warehouses.
inVia Robotics, founded in 2015, develops autonomous mobile robots and warehouse execution software for e-commerce and third-party logistics fulfillment centers. The company is headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California, and was started by three robotics PhD students from the University of Southern California: Lior Elazary, Dan Parks, and Randolph Voorhies.
The company pioneered a Robotics-as-a-Service model, deploying inVia Picker autonomous mobile robots and PickerWall goods-to-person pick and put stations without upfront capital investment, typically installed within one to two months using a customer's existing racking. The inVia Logic software layer functions as a warehouse execution system, orchestrating task allocation, inventory tracking, and robot fleet coordination in real time, while the PickMate module uses color-coded displays to direct manual pickers. A single PickerWall station is designed to support pick rates up to 1,000 units per hour.
inVia Robotics has raised more than 50 million dollars in venture funding, including a 20 million dollar Series B round in 2018 and a 30 million dollar Series C round in 2021, with investors including Microsoft's M12 fund and Qualcomm Ventures. Scholastic Canada recorded a 300 percent productivity increase after deployment, and industrial sensor maker SICK reported a tenfold increase in unit-level pick rates.
