Company Overview

Imenco is a privately owned Norwegian engineering and manufacturing group founded in 1979 as a small subsea engineering firm with only five or six engineers, which spent roughly its first two decades focused on subsea oil and gas projects before diversifying into a wider set of industrial sectors. The company today employs more than 450 people and operates across five business units: Subsea Mechanical & Engineering, which supplies subsea tooling, connectors, cameras, lighting, and manipulator systems used on remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and subsea infrastructure; Aviation Fuel & Processing Systems, providing refueling and fuel-processing equipment for aviation; Yacht, offering refueling systems for yachts including support for onboard jet skis and helicopters; Topside & Hydraulics, delivering hydraulic and topside systems for demanding offshore and industrial environments; and Machining & Fabrication, which runs large-scale precision machining and fabrication operations in Norway. Imenco's target industries span offshore oil and gas, defense, renewable energy, aquaculture, marine and naval, general industrial, and yacht markets. The group has grown through a combination of organic development and strategic acquisitions and maintains a global footprint with offices and production facilities in Haugesund, Bergen, Voll, and Harstad in Norway, as well as international locations including Aberdeen and Wick in Scotland, Ningbo in China, Macae in Brazil, Chelmsford in the UK, and Houston and Broussard in the United States, supplemented by a worldwide agent network. In July 2026, Imenco announced a strategic investment in Frontier Robotics aimed at strengthening its subsea ROV capabilities, extending the company's long-standing subsea engineering business into more advanced unmanned underwater vehicle technology. Imenco holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for its integrated management system, audited by DNV, and is an Achilles-approved supplier, both used as procurement qualification standards in the offshore energy sector. The company's headquarters and primary production site are located at Kophaug 3 in Aksdal, Norway, near Haugesund on Norway's west coast, a region with a concentration of subsea and offshore-service companies. Imenco maintains active company profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter) for corporate updates and recruitment.
