GCG Automation & Factory Solutions is the automation and factory solutions division of GCG (Genuine Cable Group), a Chicago-based distributor serving North American manufacturers. It distributes and integrates industrial automation products across robotics, motion control, PLCs and distributed I/O, HMI and industrial PCs, drives, sensors and vision, machine safety, bar code and RFID, conveyance, pneumatics, structural aluminum and enclosures, plus power distribution, connectivity and networking. Robotics partners include FANUC, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, MiR and Anscer, covering industrial robots, collaborative robots and mobile robots (AGV/AMR).
The company operates Centers of Excellence for cobot solutions and is the largest 80/20 structural aluminum distributor in the United States. Service offerings span on-site services, robot services, repair services and value-added services such as wire manipulation and panel assembly. GCG holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.
It serves automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, mobile equipment, material handling, packaging, metals, and oil and gas industries. The automation business operates from branches in Cleveland, Dallas, Dayton, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Nashville, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Toronto, with headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Through its supplier network, GCG provides design, specification and turnkey integration support for cobot applications, vision-guided bin picking and press machine tending, acting as an extension of customer engineering teams rather than a pure product reseller.
