Company Overview

FMC3 Robotics (styled FMC³ Robotics) is an embodied-AI software company based in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. Its core product is a hardware-agnostic robot "brain" that it deploys on robot bodies built by partner manufacturers, together with a data-collection system for teaching those robots by human demonstration. The company presents its target market as European industrial sites, with application scenarios listed as parcel sorting, loading and unloading, pick and pack, line feeding, commercial cleaning, campus security and visitor reception.

The software stack has three named parts. FMC³ RoboBrain is the decision layer, described as combining task-specific skill agents, long-horizon task orchestration, zero-code task editing, multi-agent scheduling and an industry knowledge-base language model with cloud-based world models. The FMC³ Embodied AI Engine is the on-robot compute and runtime: the company lists an Nvidia Orin or Thor master chip, 275 TOPS of scalable compute, EtherCAT and CAN FD interfaces, 15 to 60 W dynamic power draw, a library of more than 200 atomic skills and adaptation to more than ten mainstream robot platforms, with a data training platform, teaching interface, operational monitoring and task editor on top. FMC³ DATOS is the data side: a wearable capture kit of 400-point haptic gloves, an active infrared stereo RGB-D headband and a data sync hub, plus a processing pipeline that turns recorded human manipulation into training-ready datasets without needing a robot during collection.

The robot hardware shown on the site comes from partners. The page for its wheeled dual-arm humanoid and commercial cleaning robot carries specifications and an EC declaration of conformity for the AGIBOT C5, manufactured by Shanghai Zhiyuan Innovation Technology (AgiBot). Other listed form factors are a quadruped security robot, a campus reception robot and collaborative arms, all presented as running the FMC³ brain. Field application engineers provide on-site integration, maintenance and training.

The operating company in the imprint is FMC³ Robotic Service GmbH, Ingolstadt (register number HRB 12430), with Jing Zhou as managing director; the site footer uses the name FMC³ Robotics GmbH and gives its headquarters as Schlosslaende 26, Ingolstadt. The company also runs an office in Shanghai, and Chinese business media reported that it opened its first overseas office in Jiaxing, China, in December 2025. In August 2026 it appointed Dr. Joachim Fetzer as President of Europe.

In September 2026 FMC3 Robotics signed a memorandum of understanding with Vector Informatik and PEM Motion at the Humanoid Robots Summit in Stuttgart to build a shared, standardised data infrastructure for industrial embodied AI, covering collection, processing, training, validation and feedback; some coverage calls this a joint venture, but no joint entity has been confirmed. The same month it announced support for Arm's Robotics Capability Framework. It has exhibited at Humanoid Days in Erlangen and Robotertage Altdorf in 2026. No customers, funding rounds or headcount are published.
