Flo Mobility Pvt. Ltd. is a Bengaluru-based construction robotics company that builds electric, autonomous material-movement robots and the cloud software used to run them as fleets on job sites. The company was founded in 2020 by Manesh Jain, Founder and CEO, and Pratik Patel, Co-founder and COO, and describes itself as India's largest construction robotics service provider. It works on a B2B model in which robots are offered to contractors and developers on subscription.
Its main product is a four-wheel-drive autonomous hauler (presented on the website as the Material Movement Robot or Autonomous Cart, and reported in the press as the Flo Hauler) that carries bricks, blocks, sand, aggregate and other loads around building sites in place of manual wheelbarrows and small diesel dumpers. Published specifications include a 500-1,000 kg payload, a maximum speed of 5 km/h, 12-degree gradeability, 200 mm ground clearance, dimensions of 1,560 x 850 x 1,172 mm, four BLDC hub motors and a hydraulic tipper for unloading. Batteries are swappable and rated for about 12 hours of operation, supporting multi-shift and round-the-clock use, and the vehicle is IP65 sealed for dust and weather. For autonomy the robot fuses LiDAR (a 32-beam unit with 200 m range and 360-degree coverage) and cameras with GPS-based navigation and on-board edge AI, with a stated reaction time under 100 ms; it can also be driven by remote control.
The robots are managed through Flo Fleet Control, a cloud platform hosted on AWS that provides mission planning and task assignment, real-time status for each robot, live sensor streaming and 3D mapping, low-latency teleoperation with HD video, dynamic task allocation based on battery level and proximity, role-based multi-user access with an audit trail, and analytics. The company quotes 99.9% uptime, AES-256 encryption and SOC 2 compliance for the platform.
Flo Mobility reports more than 50-70 robots deployed, over 50,000 km travelled and about 250,000 tonnes of material moved. Customers shown on its website include Larsen & Toubro, Godrej, Kalpataru, Embassy, Sobha, KEC International, Capacite Infra, Ahluwalia Contracts, Leighton, Kolte Patil, M3M, PSP Projects, Runwal and Al Gurg Group. According to a July 2026 YourStory profile, the robots work across about 25 sites in 10 Indian states, and the company claims about 45% cost savings, 50% faster material movement and a 67% drop in workplace accidents.
In May 2026 Flo Mobility raised USD 2.5 million in a pre-Series A round co-led by Mela Ventures and Arali Ventures, with ARTPARK, VentureGarage, JITO Incubation & Innovation Foundation and DevX Ventures participating, bringing total funding to about USD 3.3 million. The team numbered about 25 people at that time, and the new capital is earmarked for manufacturing, autonomy software, more Indian deployments and international expansion starting with the Middle East.
