Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company founded in 2017 and headquartered in Cedar Park, Texas, near Austin, with a launch-vehicle production and test site called the Rocket Ranch in Briggs, Texas. The company trades on Nasdaq as FLY after an August 2025 initial public offering, employs more than 1,500 people, and is led by CEO Jason Kim, in the role since October 2024.

Its Alpha rocket is an expendable two-stage launch vehicle in the 1,000-kilogram payload class, developed alongside the larger, reusable Eclipse rocket, a joint program with Northrop Grumman built to carry up to 16,000 kilograms to orbit. On March 2, 2025, Firefly's Blue Ghost lander became the first commercial spacecraft to complete a fully successful soft landing on the Moon, carrying NASA payloads under the Commercial Lunar Payload Services program; the lander stands about 2 meters tall and 3.5 meters wide with a low center of mass for stability. The company also develops Elytra orbital-transfer vehicles and Ocula lunar-imaging services.

Firefly operates launch sites at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, and Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, Sweden. Contract partners include NASA, the U.S. Space Force, and Lockheed Martin, and the company has acquired SciTec and Space-ng to add data-fusion and autonomous space-operations capability.
