Taiwanese Foxconn-ADLINK joint venture (2020) building SWARM CORE multi-brand fleet software and SMR-series autonomous mobile robots
FARobot Inc. is a Taiwanese intralogistics robotics company founded in 2020 as a joint venture between Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn, TAIEX: 2317) and ADLINK Technology (TAIEX: 6166). It is based at the Far Eastern Technology Park in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, and reports 11-50 employees.
Its focus is swarm autonomy. The SWARM CORE platform, which the company describes as patented and built on DDS-based communication, converts the differing data formats of mixed-brand AGVs, AMRs, robot arms and production equipment into a single protocol, then handles robot connection, mapping, global dynamic task scheduling and peer-to-peer coordination between devices rather than routing everything through one central controller. FARobot says it commercialised the product within two years of founding and draws manufacturing data and industrial know-how from its two parent companies.
The company also builds its own Swarm Mobile Robot hardware. Published models are the SMR30, the SMR250 (250 kg payload, up to 1.5 m/s, 870 x 600 x 272 mm, up to 8 hours of continuous operation), the SMR1000 (1,000 kg payload, up to 1.5 m/s, 1030 x 830 x 285 mm, up to 8 hours) and the Easewheel. An AGV floor-to-floor solution moves material between building levels.
Stated target sectors are manufacturing, logistics, retail and healthcare, with electronics and electric-vehicle production cited. The website shows unnamed customer logos but no named references.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Swarm fleet-orchestration platform that normalises mixed-brand AGVs, AMRs, arms and equipment into one protocol with peer-to-peer task scheduling
Elevator-integrated AGV application that moves material between building floors
