farmunited is a smart farming technology brand that develops digital precision agriculture systems at its site in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The brand is operated by Braglia Srl of Reggio Emilia, Italy, an agricultural sprayer and pump company represented by Giuseppe Braglia, and also uses the name farmunited GmbH. farmunited develops customized control technology for agricultural machinery manufacturers in spraying, navigation and farm management, and several manufacturers integrate its systems into series machines.
In navigation, SMARTPILOT is a modular ultrasonic automatic steering system for row crops. Ultrasonic sensing guides tractors, work platforms and harvesters along plantation rows and driveways, can follow parallel rows or a single row, and detects gaps and obstacles. The kit consists of an eStack IO20 control unit, a touchscreen display, speed, ultrasonic and angle sensors, an operating unit and wiring, with adjustable track offset.
In spraying, CLEVERSPRAY PRO is a retrofit system for special-crop sprayers that regulates application rate automatically with flow and pressure sensors, uses two speed sensors and two distance sensors for automatic section control at row entry and exit with headland detection, warns when the wrong row is entered, detects clogged or defective nozzles and records operations by geofencing into a digital spray log. It is operated from an Android phone or tablet and connects wirelessly to the farmunited cloud. CLEVERVISU and SMARTFAN complete the spraying line, and SMARTFAN is integrated in RWZ RFW 8-6 and RFW 10-6 vineyard trailer sprayers. For irrigation the company sells the FARMVALVE wireless valve and the FARMSENSE weather station, and its connected product range is marketed as the farmunited ECOSYSTEM linking farmers, manufacturers and dealers.
