Enova Robotics is a robotics manufacturer headquartered in Sousse, Tunisia, founded in 2014 by Dr. Anis Sahbani, a robotics PhD who returned from France to establish what is widely cited as Africa's first robotics startup. The company's flagship product is PGuard, an autonomous mobile security robot designed for multi-terrain outdoor operations, providing real-time environmental data gathering, intrusion detection, and remote communication. Introduced in 2015, PGuard has been deployed across multiple countries and exported to the United States, marking one of the first African robotics products to enter the US market.
Enova also produces robots for education and healthcare sectors. The company was the first certified integrator of Universal Robots in North Africa. It raised $1.6 million in funding from Capsa Capital and OCP Challenge, which was at the time the largest funding round for a Tunisian startup, valuing the company at approximately $5.4 million.
