Direct Drive Tech (Dongguan Direct Drive Technology Limited) is a Chinese robotics actuator company founded in 2018 in Hong Kong and relocated in 2019 to the Songshan Lake XbotPark in Dongguan, Guangdong. The company specializes in direct-drive precision power solutions designed to replace traditional reduction gearboxes, aiming to make robots quieter, more precise and more responsive. Direct Drive Tech holds a complete set of robot-joint technologies spanning sensors, drivers and motor bodies, and provides customized services including hardware structure design, development, appearance design, control software programming and overall solutions consulting. Its primary markets are home care and domestic robots, AGV/AMR and commercial wheeled robots, and gym/fitness equipment.
For domestic robots it supplies direct-drive travel wheels and sweeping/mopping modules for products such as robotic vacuums; for industrial and commercial use it offers direct-drive drive-wheel modules for AGV/AMR, indoor and outdoor delivery robots and cleaning robots; and for fitness it provides resistance and damping motors capable of generating load force equivalent to 30 to 120 kg of counterweight. Product lines include the M6 and M15 series robot power modules and joints (such as the M1502A, M0601C and M11) and the Diablo and TITA platforms. The company received seed investment from robotics expert Professor Li Zexiang, completed Pre-A funding led by 5Y Capital, and a 100 million yuan Series A round. Direct Drive Tech holds more than 100 patents and ISO quality management certification.
