DevDroid is a Ukrainian defense-technology company that develops and manufactures robotic systems for remote combat, enabling military units to fight from a distance while keeping operators out of harm's way.
Founded in 2022 and formally named in mid-2023, the company began by building remotely operated firing systems and has grown into a producer of remote weapon modules, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and the control software that ties them together. Its core combat module, Wolly, is a remotely operated weapon station that has been fielded with Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces since early 2024 in 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm configurations; the company also offers UGVs such as the Droid TW reconnaissance-and-strike platform, the Droid NW 40 grenade-launcher platform, and logistics and casualty-evacuation variants. The cornerstone of its ecosystem is Droid Box, a universal control system for ground robotic complexes that supports up to six independent communication channels (Mesh, Starlink, LTE, ELRS, Wi-Fi and others) and integrates the Wolly module; DevDroid states Droid Box is deployed on more than 250 UGVs of various types, including platforms from other manufacturers. Products incorporate AI-assisted automatic target detection, lock-on and tracking, and have received NATO stock numbers. The full cycle from development to service is carried out in Ukraine, backed by 24/7 service teams in Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipro, rapid-response repair groups and operator training conducted by combat-veteran instructors.
