"Any Workflow. One Mind."
Brooklyn, NY startup whose Mothership OS and Vision OS software coordinate mixed robot fleets and workers in warehouses; raised an $8M seed in Sept 2026.
Destro AI is a Brooklyn, New York software company building a coordination layer for warehouse and factory floors where robots from several vendors work alongside human associates. Its headquarters is at 370 Jay Street, Brooklyn. Founder and chief executive Manthan Pawar leads a team whose members previously worked at HAI Robotics, Dexterity and Matic. The company says it went live with paying customers less than a year after it was founded; the exact founding date is not published.
The product has two parts. Mothership OS runs off the robot and decides which robot or person performs which task, where and when. Destro organises it into four functions: Observe, which tracks robots, people, inventory and orders through a live digital view of the site; Think, which prioritises work and allocates it between people and machines; Simulate, which models future scenarios to anticipate bottlenecks before acting; and Execute, which dispatches robots, guides associates, forklift drivers and wearable-directed workers, and synchronises enterprise systems. Vision OS runs on the robot at the edge and handles carton- and each-level manipulation, including SKU identification, inventory counting and pick-and-place without barcode scanning, using models trained on human demonstrations; it takes high-level instructions from Mothership OS and drives the robot's actuators. The platform is designed to be robot-agnostic, and Destro names no hardware partners.
The first named customer is Yusen Logistics (Americas). After a pilot at a Yusen facility in the Pacific Northwest, the two companies announced on 3 August 2026 a deployment of the platform for transload operations, in which inbound freight is sorted and reloaded onto outbound trucks. Destro says its other customers are global third-party logistics providers, without naming them. Outcome figures published by the company include a 30 to 40 percent rise in building productivity, a typical payback of three to five months and cost per unit handled falling from 10 cents to 2 cents; these are vendor claims and have not been independently verified.
On 29 September 2026 Destro announced an 8 million US dollar seed round co-led by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, with CoFound Partners participating. The proceeds are earmarked for enterprise deployments, further development of Mothership OS and Vision OS, and engineering hiring, and the company has said it aims to reach positive cash flow by the end of 2026. Open roles on its careers page include robotics technicians in Sumner, Allentown and Savannah, pointing to on-site deployment teams at customer facilities.
