Destinus is a European defence manufacturer focused on scalable strike and air-defence systems for European and allied armed forces. Founded in 2021 by Mikhail Kokorich and originally based in Payerne, Switzerland, the company began in supersonic and hypersonic hydrogen-powered aviation before pivoting its priority toward military applications; in late 2024 it moved its headquarters and part of operations toward the Netherlands. Destinus combines a unified autonomy stack, deep vertical integration, and industrial-scale production to convert fast iteration into operational capability, positioning itself as a vertically integrated European OEM delivering cost-asymmetric systems made in Europe for Europe. Its product portfolio centers on layered defence: the Kryla saturation cruise system designed for distributed, high-volume use; the Hornet interceptor family (Block 1 subsonic-threat interceptor and Block 2 dual-role interceptor and precision-strike system); and the Ruta family of strike systems spanning Block 1 (baseline), Block 2 (extended range), and Block 3 (long-range deep strike).
The company also supplies subsystems and has reached industrial-scale turbojet engine production in Europe, announcing engine number 1,000. Destinus emphasizes AI-based modeling and software-centric development, a continuous battlefield feedback loop, and scalable platforms. Recent demonstrations include a Hornet interceptor launched from a Spanish Navy frigate. The company's autonomy work is associated with its Daedalean unit, and it maintains supplier, careers, and incident-reporting programs across its European operations.
