Hans Kumar previously worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Boston Dynamics, where he focused on computer vision for the Spot inspection robot. Hardik Singh previously led a robotics team at an agtech startup, where he pivoted the team's product focus and secured early commercial revenue.

Boost Robotics' core product is an autonomous mobile manipulation robot that can physically interact with data center hardware. The system addresses the challenge of routine data center maintenance tasks — such as cable verification, device reboots, and hardware swaps — that typically require dispatching on-site technicians. Boost Robotics refers to this capability as 'robot remote hands,' allowing data center operators to remotely triage and resolve physical issues through the robot. When not performing active maintenance interventions, the robots provide continuous 24/7 security monitoring and operational analytics of the facility.

The target customers are data center operators and colocation facilities seeking to reduce operational costs and response times for physical maintenance tasks. The company's approach combines mobile robotics with manipulation capabilities, enabling the robot to navigate the data center floor and interact directly with server racks and networking equipment.
