BabaCAD is a small software publisher from Bosnia and Herzegovina that develops computer-aided design software and, since around 2020, robot simulation and offline programming tools for industrial robot arms. The product line is authored and owned by Mirza Coralic, an electrical engineering graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo, who is also described as founder of BabaCAD and BabaCAD Robotics. The company does not publish a legal entity name, street address, headcount or funding information; its public contact is a support e-mail address on the babacad.com domain.

The original business is general-purpose CAD. BabaCAD Home Edition 2020 is a 2D drafting program that reads and writes DWG/DXF files from R13 to R2020 and supports LISP scripting, while BabaCAD Enterprise (2019) adds 3D solid modelling, SCR scripts and .NET plugin development. The site states that BabaCAD has more than 250,000 users worldwide, a figure that refers to the CAD software as a whole.

BabaCAD Robotics, built on the BabaCAD CAD engine, is a desktop robot simulation and control application. Its 2021 release added thirty robotics-specific commands and a Robotics Explorer pane. It is offered in a Custom Single Model (CSM) edition, which simulates and controls one specific arm such as the Annin Robotics AR4 six-axis robot, and a Full version that lets users define new robots by modelling or importing 3D meshes and browse a library of predefined industrial robots. Functions include real-time inverse kinematics with mouse-driven end-effector movement, joint-space and world-space trajectory planning, 2D/3D curve tracking, trapezoidal velocity profiles, multi-robot offline programming, and import of plant layouts and tooling. Control of physical robots runs through a Python API and custom post-processors over serial or TCP links. Prices are not published.

BabaCAD Robotics Web (BRW) is a free, browser-based version first presented as v1.0 in September 2025. It requires no installation or licence and runs on desktop computers, tablets and phones. The robot library includes KUKA, Fanuc and Yaskawa Motoman arms, each with a direct and inverse kinematics solver; users import STEP, IGES or STL models of fixtures, conveyors and parts, and check reachability, collisions and cycle times. Version 2.2 (August 2026) introduced a JavaScript plugin API, and version 3.0 (September 2026) added multiple robots in one cell, each with its own base, tool and program, plus pick-and-place of scene objects and projects saved in an open JSON-based .brw format. External axes such as linear rails, turntables and positioners are supported. Features announced in October 2026 include an AI assistant, CAM milling and sculpting operations, and Sim2Real.

Sim2Real moves a motion validated in the browser onto real hardware. Universal Robots UR3, UR5 and UR10e arms on CB-series and e-Series controllers are driven live over TCP/IP through a bridge application for Windows and macOS that checks joint limits, speeds and robot state, while KUKA KR-series arms receive generated KR C2, KR C4 or KR C5 program files copied to the controller by USB stick. The documentation states that BRW stop commands are not a safety function and recommends reduced speed and an accessible emergency stop.

BabaCAD sits at the low-cost end of the offline programming market, aimed at engineers, students and small workshops rather than large integrators; no named industrial customers or partners are published.
