Automation Controls Group (ACG) is a subsidiary of Milwaukee Electronics that designs and supplies motors and motion-control products for material-handling conveyor systems under the UniDrive brand. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ACG's flagship UniDrive 24VDC brushless DC conveyor motors have been used in the material-handling industry for over a decade, selected by conveyor OEMs for reliability and design flexibility. A single UniDrive motor can drive conveyors from 5 to 50 inches wide, eliminating the need to stock multiple motor sizes or specific gear ratios; the gearless, maintenance-free design has no gears to wear and no oil to change, and offers more than 250,000 hours of drive-bearing life (based on L10 bearing-life calculations), more than ten times the design life of typical motor-driven rollers (MDRs).
The product line includes the UniDrive flagship brushless DC motors, the new UniDrive ONE universal motor that runs with various industry controls, ZoneLogix ZPA/ZLP zone controllers that provide zoned-system control without directly wiring PLCs to each zone, M-1 motors and controls, P3 PowerCubes for higher-torque 24VDC applications, and a BTR sensor. Together these deliver plug-and-play simplicity, low total cost of ownership, reduced assembly time, low energy use and improved on-time delivery for live-roller conveyor systems built by OEMs and integrators. The motors are stocked for short lead times.
