Singapore no-code robot-programming software firm founded 2019; Augmentus Standard and Pro generate toolpaths for ABB, FANUC, and other industrial robots.
Augmentus is a Singapore-based robotics software company founded in 2019 by Daryl Lim, Chong Voon Foo, and Leong Yong Shin, who met at a hackathon while studying at the National University of Singapore. The company is headquartered at Singapore Science Park, with a robotics center in Pflugerville, Texas.
Augmentus builds no-code software that generates robot toolpaths without manual programming or teach pendants. Its workflow scans a workpiece or imports its CAD file to capture part geometry, then simulates and generates toolpaths offline before deploying them to a robot; the adaptive version detects part-to-part deviations and corrects position and orientation errors during operation. The company sells two products: Augmentus Standard, a CAD-based path-generation and simulation tool, and Augmentus Pro, which adds 3D scanning hardware and vision-guided localization for adaptive path correction and inline defect detection. The software works with ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, Universal Robots, and Techman Robot arms, targeting welding, surface finishing, spraying, dispensing, and inspection tasks.
In 2025 Augmentus raised an $11 million funding round and received a strategic investment from Applied Ventures. The company was named to the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list in 2025 and was selected into ABB's SynerLeap startup ecosystem.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Essential no-code robot programming using CAD for rapid path generation and setup.
Vision-enabled scan-to-path programming adding 3D scanning and calibration for adaptive motion.
