AstroForge develops low-cost, replicable deep-space spacecraft for asteroid mining, targeting platinum-group metals (PGMs) from M-type near-Earth asteroids. Key missions include Odin (flyby/imaging, launched 2025, lost contact) and Vestri (2026 landing/docking for in-situ refining). Technology features laser ablation/vaporization, magnetic separation of iron/nickel from non-magnetic PGMs, and on-site electromagnetic-ablative refining to enable high-margin, low-impact resource extraction and return.
