Rotterdam startup founded in 2023 offering a cloud RoboDevOps platform where distributed teams simulate, develop and test robots and their AI together.
Asimovo is a robotics software startup that builds a cloud-based "RoboDevOps" platform for developing, simulating and testing robots. Crunchbase places its headquarters in Rotterdam, South Holland, in the Netherlands, and the company traded as Asimovo B.V. when it exhibited in the Young Talent Square start-up area of the Vision, Robotics & Motion trade fair in the Netherlands in June 2023. Signalbase records 2023 as the founding year and a team of 2 to 10 people. Christine Fraser is the founder and CEO.
The platform is designed to bring the main tools of a robotics project into one browser-accessible environment so that distributed teams can work on the same robot at the same time. Asimovo names the intended users as AI and machine-learning specialists, mechanical engineers, test engineers and non-technical project managers. Engineers can simulate a robot, develop and iterate its software, and run tests in a single integrated workspace, drawing on open-source tools and a library of assets and protocols for autonomous systems. Fraser has said the aim is to shorten development cycles sharply, estimating that a project that would normally take 18 months could be completed in three to four months. The platform was launched at Vision, Robotics & Motion in June 2023, where the company demonstrated features and opened a freemium tier.
On funding, Signalbase lists a non-dilutive grant of about 225,000 (reported in euros in its metadata and in dollars in its text) to accelerate development of the RoboDevOps platform; no equity round has been confirmed. In November 2023 Fraser pitched the company at the European Investment Bank stand at Web Summit in Lisbon, presenting its mission as accelerating the development and introduction of responsible robots into everyday life. Asimovo was also among the companies that appeared at Humanoids Summit London in 2025, which is how it came onto RobotToday's humanoid and embodied-AI landscape under data, teleoperation and simulation tools.
Asimovo does not publish customer names, pricing for paid tiers or the specific simulators it builds on, and its website is protected by a bot-check that blocked automated verification for this profile.
