Antioch is a New York City software company that builds a cloud simulation platform for developing and testing robots, drones, autonomous vehicles and other physical AI systems. It was founded in May 2025. Its co-founders include Harry Mellsop, Alex Langshur, Michael Calvey and Collin Schlager: Mellsop, Langshur and Calvey previously built the security and intelligence startup Transpose, which Chainalysis acquired in 2023, Mellsop also worked on computer vision for Autopilot at Tesla, and Schlager came from Meta Reality Labs. The company describes its product as a verifier for physical AI, meaning a development environment that predicts whether a proposed change to a physical system will improve it before the change reaches hardware.
The platform covers three stages of the development cycle. For development it builds digital twins of a customer's existing robots, calibrated against real-world data, and provides interactive simulation. For evaluation it runs the same system through thousands of defined scenarios in parallel on cloud infrastructure, and for training it generates synthetic data. Engineers write NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab code locally without a GPU, define repeatable scenarios, dispatch thousands of replicas to the cloud and connect the runs to CI/CD pipelines. The module library lists 142 robot models, 86 sensor models, 12 physics solvers including PhysX, Newton, VBD and MPM, and about 2,300 scenes and assets in USD, Gaussian splat and 3D tiles formats, together with automatic twin calibration. Antioch Agent onboards a system from CAD files, BIM models and spec sheets and uses an AI agent to run simulations, design test scenarios and iterate on autonomy stacks. Users work through a web console. The company markets the platform for aerial autonomy, intelligent perception, industrial autonomy and ground autonomy.
Antioch integrates NVIDIA's Omniverse libraries, Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab, and uses Nebius for simulation compute. Amazon's Ring unit is named as a user: its chief product officer said the simulations closely matched Ring's physical test results. Launchpad Build AI, which develops AI-driven manufacturing systems, is cited by Antioch as a customer that shortened its time to market. The company reports ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and an AICPA SOC report for service organizations.
Funding began with a 4.25 million US dollar pre-seed round in December 2025, followed by 8.5 million US dollars in April 2026 and a 32 million US dollar Series A announced on 8 September 2026. Greylock led the Series A with A*, Category Ventures, BoxGroup and Icehouse Ventures participating, and Greylock general partner Saam Motamedi joined the board. Angel investors include Palantir chief technology officer Shyam Sankar and Foxglove chief executive Adrian Macneil. Antioch states its total raised as 40.5 million US dollars and is hiring across simulation, machine learning, infrastructure, graphics and go-to-market roles.
