AIS Field (legal name: AIS Software and Computer Systems Inc.) is an Ankara, Turkey-based robotics start-up founded in 2022 by Kayıhan Gündoğdu. The company specializes in robotic inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for the oil, gas, and energy sector, combining 35+ years of collective NDT field experience with modern robotics and AI-driven data management software. AIS Field's flagship product is the RUVI OilDiver, an ATEX-certified (per 2014/34/EU Directive) underwater robotic inspection system that operates submerged inside above-ground hydrocarbon storage tanks, performing ultrasonic thickness measurement and corrosion mapping in accordance with API 653 standards without requiring tank drainage or confined space entry — achieving 95% time savings compared to conventional methods and eliminating approximately 15 tonnes of harmful waste per tank.
A 360-degree sonar navigation system ensures precision positioning within the tank environment. Additional products include the RUVI Diver (underwater drone for marine and water tank inspection), RUVI WallKer (magnetic crawler for boiler waterwall inspection, capable of inspecting up to 16 tubes simultaneously), I-Cleaner (tank cleaning robot), and PAARS (a pipeline inspection system). The company's proprietary FIL software platform supports data analysis and inspection reporting.
AIS Field received seed investment from Tüpraş Ventures (the investment arm of Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation) in 2023 and has inspected more than 30 tanks worldwide. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications.
