Airobotics, Ltd.
"Drone Dominance Across a Wide Range of Missions"
Israeli developer of the Optimus drone-in-a-box and Iron Drone interceptor, founded 2014 and operating as part of Nasdaq-listed Ondas since 2023.
Airobotics is an Israeli developer of autonomous drone systems for persistent aerial operations and counter-UAS interception, with a US office in Boston. Founded in 2014, the company built the first drone-in-a-box system and has operated as a subsidiary of Ondas (Nasdaq: ONDS) since 2023, when it joined the group and acquired the Iron Drone interception business. Operations span Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Australia, and the company completed its first international airport deployment in 2025.
The Optimus system pairs a multirotor drone with an autonomous Airbase that handles launch, recovery, robotic battery exchange and automated payload swapping, allowing repeated missions with no operator on site. Available payloads include 2D and 3D mapping cameras, LiDAR scanners, dual EO/IR video and an aerial delivery module, and imagery is processed at the edge on site rather than on external servers. Optimus received type certificate (TC) approval in 2024, permitting operation in civil airspace, and serves critical infrastructure, public safety, homeland security and military users. Iron Drone is an autonomous interceptor for controlled takedown of hostile drones, and Iron Arrow is a long-range autonomous interceptor designed for mass interception.
The company is led by CEO Arik Elazar and cites more than a decade of autonomous mission operations across its deployments.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Iron Drone
Fully autonomous counter-UAS interceptor drone launched from ground pod to detect and neutralize malicious drones over critical infrastructure.
