Company Overview

Agile Robotic Systems is an American-headquartered robotics company based in Erlanger, Kentucky that develops, builds, sells, and supports CNC machine tool loading systems and robotic automation systems. It is part of the John Hart group of companies, a third-generation family business established in Australia in 1946 that became Mazak's exclusive Australian distributor in 1963, signed on as Fanuc Robotics' exclusive Australian distributor in 1983, and formed its automation and robotics business in 1984. Agile draws on this heritage of over 70 years in machine tools and close to 40 years in automation and robotics, and is a FANUC Authorized System Integrator.

The company offers three product tiers. Agile Flex is a compact, affordable, fenceless out-of-the-box machine tending system spanning the 12 Series (smaller parts), 35 Series (larger parts), and MEGA Series (mega parts), with Pallet (P), Drawer (D), Vise (V), and Shaft (S) variants such as the Agile Flex 12D, 35D, and MEGA D. Agile Modular is a flexible, expandable loading system, and Agile Engineered provides customized systems for special-purpose applications.

All systems are driven by the Agile Cell Controller software, which requires no robot programming knowledge, supports multiple part types unmanned, needs no robot interface or auto-door, and lets users set up new parts in-house in minutes. The systems can be rapidly deployed on any CNC machine. Agile serves manufacturers globally through resellers in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK, with named customer examples including MTH Pumps, Oilpath Hydraulics, Turner's Engineering, and Hydramech Engineering reporting gains in capacity and unattended run time.
