"The teleoperation platform for frontier robotics"
San Francisco teleoperation start-up offering sub-40 ms robot streaming software plus a managed 24/7 operator workforce for humanoids, arms and AVs.
Adamo, Inc. is a US start-up that supplies teleoperation software and managed remote-operator services to companies deploying robots. It describes itself as "the networking layer for physical AI" and argues that real-time human intervention is how robot fleets can be deployed today while their autonomy improves: when a robot gets stuck, an operator takes over, and the intervention is recorded as training data. The company lists offices at 2261 Market Street, San Francisco, and on Union Street in Waterloo, London. PitchBook records it as founded in 2025 and closing a seed round in December 2025 with ALM Ventures as an investor.
The core product is a low-latency streaming and control platform built on Adamo's own protocol rather than WebRTC. The company claims glass-to-glass latency as low as 40 ms, about 180% faster than WebRTC, and 99.5% network uptime achieved by bonding LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi links with dynamic bitrate adjustment. SDKs are offered for Python (pip install adamo), Rust and C, with native ROS and ROS 2 support. Sessions are protected with AES-256 end-to-end encryption, and the platform is described as SOC 2 compliant. Besides teleoperation, the software streams sensor data to cloud-hosted models and returns decisions to the robot, and it records sessions as synchronised video, telemetry and operator commands for imitation learning.
The second line is a managed operator service. Adamo recruits, trains and schedules remote teleoperators who pass psychometric and performance tests and work from purpose-built facilities with redundant ISPs, backup power, a minimum 25 Mbps connection and biometric access control. Its published examples include operators based in Mexico City and Casablanca. The company offers 24/7 shift coverage, custom teleoperation interfaces and performance analytics.
Adamo's interfaces are hardware-agnostic and grouped by use case. For humanoids it offers full-body mapping of an operator's movements through VR headsets or exoskeletons, finger-level dexterous hand control, stereoscopic VR streaming and bidirectional force feedback, with motions logged as joint-angle trajectories and force readings for behaviour cloning. For robot arms it targets precise industrial and collaborative manipulation. For autonomous vehicles and AMRs it offers remote edge-case intervention, yard management and last-mile delivery navigation.
Published pricing (2026) starts at USD 50 per robot per month for the streaming platform, including 50 teleoperation hours per robot with overage at USD 0.90 per hour and a 99% uptime SLA. The managed operator service starts at USD 12 per operator hour, and enterprise plans add custom integrations, multi-region deployment and dedicated engineering support. Adamo says most customers run a first-motion test within days of integrating the SDK.
