Luckin Coffee, the Chinese coffee giant, has made its American debut by opening two stores in Manhattan on Monday, targeting the competitive market dominated by Starbucks. The new locations are situated in Greenwich Village and Chelsea, following a series of engaging social media teasers leading up to the launch. Established in 2017, Luckin Coffee has rapidly expanded, now boasting over 24,000 stores across Asia. Despite facing challenges in the past, the company is strategically positioning itself to capture a share of the U.S. coffee market.
