EVENT OVERVIEW

Global Industrie 2027 takes place March 15–18, 2027 at Eurexpo Lyon. The show is organized by GL events and alternates between Paris Nord Villepinte and Lyon: the 2025 edition was in Lyon (March 11–14) and the 2026 edition in Paris (March 30 – April 2). It covers the whole manufacturing chain across 15 zones, from machining and metal additive manufacturing, sheet metal and welding, and forge and foundry to plastics and composites, electronics, measurement and vision, materials, assembly, robotics, and sustainable industry and energy. The organizer's headline figures are 60,000 industrial visitors, 2,500 exhibiting companies, more than 3,000 machines and robots in operation and more than 800 speaking sessions. Those figures reflect the 2026 Paris edition; the 2025 Lyon edition was reported at about 2,500 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors, and the organizer says it expects 50,000 professionals in 2027.

The organizer's preliminary 2027 exhibitor list, dated October 1, 2026, names about 1,130 companies. Thirty-four are in the Robotics zone, including Boston Dynamics, FANUC, Stäubli, Teradyne Robotics (parent of Universal Robots and MiR), Dobot, Pudu Robotics, Schunk, Zimmer Group, Hiwin, igus and FerRobotics, alongside French integrators such as Actemium Automation & Robotics. Robotic welding and handling cells also appear in the sheet-metal and welding zone, the largest on the list with 234 equipment exhibitors. ABB, KUKA and Yaskawa, which appear on the organizer's Robotics page from earlier editions, are not yet on the 2027 list. The program includes Main Stage conferences, a Booster area for consulting and services, the GI Innovation Awards, the Golden Tech skills competition and the GI Avenir careers area.

  • Organizer headline figures: 60,000 visitors, 2,500 exhibitors, 3,000+ machines and robots in operation, 800+ speaking sessions (2026 Paris basis)

  • Main Stage conferences, GI Innovation Awards and Golden Tech skills competition

RECOMMENDED ATTENDEES

Manufacturing and plant engineers in France and southern Europe evaluating robot cells, cobots and AMRs; system integrators; robot OEM and component sales teams targeting French and European SMEs; Chinese robot and component makers looking for European distributors (Dobot and Pudu exhibit through their European subsidiaries); buyers of machining, sheet-metal, welding and subcontracting services; regional development agencies and industrial-policy officials; and recruiters and educators using the GI Avenir careers area. Visitors looking mainly for robotics depth are better served by robotics-specialist shows such as automatica in Munich, or by Hannover Messe (April 5–8, 2027).
