AWS re:Invent 2025 was the 14th edition of Amazon Web Services' flagship conference, held from December 1–5, 2025, in Las Vegas. This year’s event was defined by the transition from "Assistants" to "Agentic AI"—autonomous systems capable of reasoning and completing multi-step tasks independently.
Event Logistics
  • Venues: The conference operated on a "campus model" across major Las Vegas Strip locations, including The Venetian, Caesars Forum, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay.

  • Attendance: More than 60,000 people attended in person, with millions more joining via on-demand virtual sessions.

Top Announcements
1. Frontier AI Agents
AWS introduced several autonomous agents designed to handle end-to-end professional workflows:
  • Kiro (Preview): An autonomous development agent that performs coding tasks, manages backlogs, and maintains context across repositories.

  • AWS Security Agent: Proactively identifies vulnerabilities and performs on-demand penetration testing.

  • AWS DevOps Agent: Correlates telemetry and code to automatically resolve system incidents.

2. Custom Silicon & Infrastructure
  • Trainium3 UltraServers: Powered by new 3nm chips, these servers offer up to 4.4x higher performance and 40% better energy efficiency than previous generations.

  • Graviton5: The most powerful ARM-based CPU from AWS, delivering 25% better performance with 192 cores per chip.

  • AWS AI Factories: A new managed infrastructure offering that brings AWS-managed Trainium and NVIDIA clusters directly into customer data centers.

3. New AI Models (Amazon Nova 2)
The Amazon Nova family expanded with several high-performance models:
  • Nova 2 Sonic: A low-latency speech-to-speech model for natural conversational AI.

  • Nova 2 Omni: A multimodal model capable of reasoning across text, images, video, and audio.

  • Nova Forge: A platform that allows enterprises to fine-tune and build their own "frontier" models.

4. Storage & Cloud Operations
  • Amazon S3 Upgrade: Maximum object size increased from 5 TB to 50 TB.

  • AWS Transform: A tool aimed at "crushing tech debt" by using AI to automate the modernization of legacy Windows and VMware environments.

AWS re:Invent 2026 is already scheduled to return to Las Vegas from November 30 to December 4, 2026.
