ZhiCheng AI (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. was incorporated on March 28, 2024 in the Yuhang district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and works on humanoid robots and the world models that drive them. Founder Hu Luhui previously held engineering leadership roles at Meta and Huawei's US research arm, plus over a decade of research and development at Microsoft and Amazon. Team members previously worked at Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Huawei, and Alibaba.
The TR series covers several humanoid generations. The TR4, released in 2024, is a wheeled dual-arm robot for industrial lifting tasks, with a TR4 Pro variant adding updated motion-control algorithms. The TR5, released in 2025, is a full-size legged humanoid, and the TR5 Pro uses a lighter structure with newer servos. The TR6 targets industrial, commercial, and household use, while the XR1 is a wheeled humanoid for auto-parts manufacturing tasks. In May 2026 the company released Chengling, an open-source world model at version 0.1, used for perception and decision-making across the TR line.
ZhiCheng AI sells TR-series robots through JD.com's retail channel and reports roughly RMB 1.5 billion in signed orders across manufacturing, security patrol, and home-service applications. In June 2026 the company closed a funding round backed by Meihua Venture Capital, Xinneng Capital, Danbei Venture Capital, and Xiaochi Capital.
